Last updated 24 August 2026. These terms apply to the Lifelines app (co.araft.lifelines) by Araft.
By downloading, installing, or using Lifelines (the "app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Lifelines is provided by Araft ("Araft", "we", "us").
Lifelines helps you record and be reminded of family life dates such as birthdays, anniversaries and remembrances, view relationships and a family tree, and optionally back up your data. The app is local-first: your information is stored on your device, with optional backup to your own Google Drive or a file on your device.
Some features require you to sign in with Google or an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your country.
Lifelines offers optional paid plans (Plus and Pro). Purchases and renewals are handled by Google Play Billing under Google's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Google Play account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's policies.
The people, dates, notes, photos and other information you add are yours. You are responsible for this content and for having the right to store it. Because Lifelines is local-first, we do not host or control your content; it stays on your device and in any backup you create.
You agree to use Lifelines only for lawful, personal purposes. You will not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to store or share unlawful content.
Lifelines schedules reminders using your device's notification system. Delivery depends on your device settings, battery optimisation and operating system limits, so we cannot guarantee that every reminder appears exactly on time. Please do not rely on Lifelines for critical, medical, or emergency reminders.
Lifelines uses Google services (Firebase Authentication, Google Drive, Google Play Billing). Your use of those services is also subject to Google's terms and policies. Lifelines is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
Lifelines is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that data backups will always succeed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Araft will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Lifelines. Please keep your own backups of important information.
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
You may stop using Lifelines at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access to parts of the service if these terms are breached or if required by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
